CayFilm 2016 - Cayman International Film Festival

A five year old street performer evolves into the informal mayor of his hood. Over the years his amazing talent and unexpected level of success brings him hundreds of thousands of dollars but now he has little to show for it. The money is simply gone - given to those in the neighborhood who ask.

Along the way he appeared with Tom Cruise in The Firm, set Guinness Book World records, created acts seen on America's Got Talent, corporate events, and one of the highest rated halftime performances at National Basketball Association games. A debilitating gunshot wound at age 24 ended his performing career, but he remains driven to somehow both support his extended family, and protect kids from the clutches of the poverty and the hopelessness it compels. Constant pain, and years of self induced pressure to help others are wearing him down. What does his future hold? Can he survive the grip of the hood himself? If not, what will happen to the kids on the street?

The director will be in attendance for a Q&A at screening.
